Meet Ishita Tanna – Editor | Educator | Author | Bibliophile

Ishita Tanna is a dynamic blend of educator, editor, and author—with a heart that beats for books and a mind that thrives on ideas. With over a decade of teaching experience, she serves as visiting faculty across premier undergraduate and postgraduate institutions in Mumbai, where she’s known for her engaging style and the deep connections she fosters with her students.

A published poet and author, Ishita has written Soulful Whisperings: Poems of Reflection and Tales of Tender Moments: Heartfelt Anthology, both available on Amazon and Flipkart. Her blog, The Gujju Bawi, is where she shares raw, heartfelt reflections that capture life’s ordinary and extraordinary moments alike.

An accomplished content writer, she has delivered over 50 successful assignments for national and international clients. Her professional expertise spans content writing, digital marketing, brand storytelling, public speaking, presentation design, and social media strategy.

At her core, Ishita is a bibliophile. Her bookshelves overflow with thrillers, mysteries, romances, self-help titles, and sweeping novels. From the nostalgic worlds of Ruskin Bond and R.K. Narayan to the philosophical depth of Arundhati Roy, Amitav Ghosh, and Shashi Tharoor, she finds inspiration in authors who bring meaning to the mundane. Her literary favourites include Sudha Murthy, Khushwant Singh, Chetan Bhagat, Amish Tripathi, Devdutt Pattanaik, Salman Rushdie, Aravind Adiga, Jhumpa Lahiri, Khaled Hosseini, Preeti Shenoy, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Ravinder Singh, and Durjoy Dutta.

She frequently delivers workshops and guest sessions on diverse themes such as Personality Development, Reading in the Digital Age, Management Lessons from Indian Mythology, The Art of Public Speaking, and Leveraging Social Media for Personal Branding.

Her poetry has won accolades from Parsi Times (First Prize & Special Mention), and she has served as a jury member for esteemed forums including the Helen Keller Awards, The Times EduEx Awards, and The Amazing Indian Awards by Ernst & Young.

When she’s not writing, teaching, or speaking, she’s happily immersed in a gripping book or binge-watching her latest cinematic obsession—always exploring stories in every form.
